If you hadn’t noticed the chill in the air, and the fact that Texas got a measurable amount of snow, seemingly across the state, winter is in fact coming, or here. Personally, I enjoy winter time, but I’m sure not everyone shares that same sentiment.
Have you taken the proper steps to protect your concrete before the harsh weather blows in and sticks around for a few months? Did you know there are steps you can take to protect your concrete whether it is stamped, colored, or plain?
Depending on where you in the country, you might have to use a lot of salt to combat the ice of winter time. Salt is the biggest threat to your concrete and pavers this time of year and there are some products out there that will help minimize that threat.
The first step is to clean your concrete or pavers. This can be accomplished with a pressure washer and a broom. From there it is pretty simple. Seal your concrete! We have a product specifically for winter and protecting your concrete against your de-icing product of choice. It is called Baracade and it comes in solvent based and water based versions for use depending on your location.
It applies easily with a sprayer and will go a long ways in keeping that concrete looking great for years to come.
For those of you who don’t have to worry about salt and ice, but still want to keep your concrete looking great, check out our Super Diamond Clear for your decorative, stamped and colored concrete. It is by far the best concrete sealer and the best value.
Also, check out our Diamond Clear for regular concrete including patios, sidewalks, drivewarys etc. We recommend sealing your concrete at least once a year to keep it looking fresh!
